Are you living in Sacramento County with little ones at home? There's some great news for you! The county has a program to help out parents and guardians with young kids by giving them extra cash every month.

It's part of the "Family First Economic Support Pilot Program" and it's all about making life a bit easier for families who don't have a lot of money.

Here's the deal: If you're taking care of a child under 6 years old and your family doesn't make more than double the poverty level income, you might get chosen to receive $725 every month for a whole year!

On top of the cash, you'll also get free financial advice and help finding community resources.

What Do You Need to Get the $725?

  • Live in the right place: Your home needs to be in one of these zip codes: 95815, 95821, 95823, 95825, 95828, or 95838.
  • Have a young child: You must be the parent or legal guardian of a kid between newborn and 5 years old.
  • Make under the limit: Your family's yearly income must be below a certain amount, which changes based on how many people are in your family.

Here's a quick guide on how much your family can make and still qualify:

  • 2 people - $40,880
  • 3 people - $51,640
  • 4 people - $62,400
  • 5 people - $73,160
  • 6 people - $83,920
  • 7 people - $94,680
  • 8 people - $105,440

And if you have more than 8 people, just add $10,760 for each additional person.

Not getting money from another program: You can't already be getting cash from a different program like this.

When Will You Get the Money?

If you're part of the program, you'll get $725 each month, starting from the first payment which was given out on June 15, 2025. The last payment will come in on July 15, 2026.

When's the Next Payment?

Mark your calendar for August 15, 2025. That's when the next payment will land in your bank account. Remember, you'll see this money show up on the 15th of every month.

How Can This Money Help With Car Costs?

Now, if you're getting this extra cash and you have a car, it could be a real lifesaver. Here's how:

  • Auto loan debt: Use the money to pay off your car loan faster. This will save you from stress and maybe even reduce the total interest you pay.
  • Car bills: Got insurance, maintenance, or repairs to handle? This $725 can cover those costs, so you can keep your car on the road without trouble.

By taking care of your auto debts and bills with this financial boost, you can avoid the anxiety of falling behind and keep yourself moving forward, both on the road and in life.
